Ambassadors Club

The Ambassadors Club is made up of positive members who welcome new members to the association. They are great at generating enthusiasm and encouraging member involvement. Chairman: Mark Craig, Brouse McDowell

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the association and is responsible for the business affairs of the corporation.

Build PAC

Build PAC helps to raise funds for the NCBIA Political Action Committee. Funds are used for political contributions to local and state candidates and issues.

Codes Committee

The Codes Committee helps keep NCBIA members informed of possible code changes, new codes and permit fees before they reach council floors for passage, thus giving the NCBIA an opportunity to add our input and help shape the final result. Chairman: Sean Smith, MPW Construction Services

Clambake Committee

The Clambake Committee plans the annual Clambake event each year, a social and fundraising event for BIA members and guests. Co-chairs: Tim McLaughlin, Ameriprise Financial Services & Tammy Townsend, Third Federal Savings

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is the Policy and Steering Committee of the Association, and is responsible for all matters of policy and public statement, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Golf Committee

The Golf Committee plans the annual NCBIA Golf Outing that will take place in July at Sweetbriar Golf Course… a social and fundraising event for NCBIA members and guests. Co-chairs: Rock Bain, Kopf Builders & Mary Felton, Lawyers Title

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee maintains close contact with local elected officials. Review and take appropriate action on local legislative issues. Work closely with OHBA and NAHB on proposed state and national legislation and keep NCBIA members advised of action taken. Chairman: Tom Lahetta, Tom Lahetta Builders Inc.

Installation Banquet/Hall of Fame Committee

This committee is responsible for planning the event that installs new officers and recognizes outstanding members of the BIA. Chairman: Mary Felton, Lawyers Title

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is actively engaged in recruiting and retaining members for the NCBIA.  They meet monthly and are the committee responsible for the annual NCBIA Membership Drive. Chairman: Jeff Lugar, Norandex Distribution

Remodelor’s Council

Sales & Marketing Council

The Sales & Marketing Council exists within the NCBIA to educate and improve the sales and marketing skills of member builders, realtors, on-site sales representative and industry support members and to promote professionalism in new home sales through education and networking.  Download SMC Membership Application. Workforce Development Committee

The Workforce Development Committee works on projects with the Lorain County JVS Student Chapter of the National Association of Home Builders. Chairman: Bob Pogorelc, Pogie’s Catering
